Relaxed Luxury in the Main Bedroom
The existing main bedroom underwent a transformation. The ensuite was updated, and a new walk-in robe was fitted, featuring:
Custom joinery with his and her dressing spaces.
An ensuite with a custom-built floating vanity, styled shaving cabinet, recessed mood lighting, under-floor heating, and towel rails heating.
New tiling with a stunning green mosaic feature wall.
A Family Bathroom That Feels Like a Palace
The family bathroom needed to be both practical and comfortable. The renovation over-delivered, creating something grand and luxurious for everyone. It features:
A custom-built vanity with an engineered stone top.
A double shower, each with rainhead and handheld options.
A giant freestanding ‘Victoria + Albert’ bath, along with a hand shower.
Underfloor and towel rail heating, heating fan, and fan exhaust.
White timber plantation shutters and a curved mirror.
Warm LED strip lighting hidden in shower and bath recesses.
A separate in-wall toilet with an added handbasin vanity and backlit mirror, creating a standalone powder room.
A Kitchen Renovation At The Heart of the Home
This new kitchen is a nourishing space designed for cooking enthusiasts and family gatherings. It serves as the centrepiece of the new living area and features:
An updated layout to modernise the space and provide extra utility, including new timber flooring to match the existing throughout the home.
Engineered stone splashbacks and benchtop, with a mirrored waterfall edge.
Two-toned cabinets with durable 2pac surfaces and warm timber finishes.
An appliance nook with bifold doors, oversized pantry, and extensive storage.
All new appliances, including a German double oven, stovetop, and a silent range hood, along with a double-door fridge featuring filtered water.
A matching built-in buffet with additional storage and a large timber-finished storage cupboard.
Under-counter strip lighting throughout.
A Living Space That Came Alive
One of the most beautiful features of this home is the lush garden backing onto a nature reserve. However, the original internal walls and small windows limited the view. The project began with remodelling the living space to let the garden views flow into the home. The entire home received a makeover to expand the living space into the outdoors, featuring:
Removal of the dividing wall in the living space, including timber floor and ceiling repairs (it looks like it was never there!).
Removal of three sliding windows to create space for three bi-fold doors that open onto a brand-new travertine-tiled patio, complete with a new pool and outdoor entertaining area.
Other changes included repainting the home throughout, installing electric blinds, new ceiling fans, and front porch patio lighting, along with tiling in travertine.
A Seamless Renovation Experience
The best part of this extensive project was our ability to work around the family as they continued with their daily lives. We split the job into phases, allowing the clients to renovate while living at home. Our team took great care to ensure that the space remained clean and operational. We were respectful at all times, making the process as smooth as possible.
The end result is a luxury oasis on an expansive block of land right in the heart of Goonellabah.
