Materials and Finishes - Because a kitchen gets a lot of use, we like to recommend to our clients to go with durable, easy-to-clean materials. We have done some brilliant projects with 2pac paint and natural stone that complement a modern or exotic-looking kitchen and will last a lifetime, however we are well accustomed to laminates and panel work as well.

 

Lighting - Joost is well known for his love of purpose-designed lighting, and we have brought that into every kitchen project. We like to incorporate a mix of ambient, task, and accent lighting to create a bright workspace as needed, but come dinner there is nothing quite as lovely as soft lighting at the end of a long day. 

 

Appliances - The most important thing for us to know about appliances is which ones you are choosing as early as possible. That way we can factor for power, space, and the surrounds easily, with as few changes as possible once the big items like cabinets are installed. 

 

Timeline - It’s one of the first questions we get asked by clients - ‘How long will this take?’. Being without a kitchen is not fun and as much as we love a good BBQ, our team work hard to make sure everything is on site and ready before we pull the old kitchen out.
