Let’s Plan It Out - The best thing we can do is get a clear plan together at the start of the project. Not all bathrooms are big expansive spaces, and a smaller project can require even more planning than a large one! Where are the current water and drainage points, and will these move or change? Knowing in advance will help prevent rework later on. 

Order Ahead - We always support clients to order everything that is needed and get it all safely and securely on site ahead of time (and out of any weather!). There are some things you have to rough-in right at the get-go, and a missing item can mean the project can’t progress until it arrives.

Waterproofing: It's Not Just a Coat of Paint - We like to think of it like a fortress – every corner, every seam needs to be sealed perfectly. It is not uncommon for us to pull an old bathroom apart and find signs of water that got through to the slab below. If it gets done right the first time you don’t have to worry about leaks, hence we use the best waterproofing trades in the Northern Rivers.

A Rock Solid Floor:  Ensuring the floor is solid and level will ensure the whole bathroom gets a great foundation. Many of our projects have required underfloor heating being installed under the tiles, so we work closely with the tiler to make sure the electrics are safe and protected, while the first layer of tile-bedding goes in. A small air pocket can cause a big problem down the track when tiles get unequal pressure and grout lines crack, so let us get it right for you, first time.

We Are Fans of Great Ventilation:  A good ventilation system does more than just get rid of steamy air. It prevents mold, mildew, and keeps your bathroom smelling fresh. We think about airflow, ductwork, and even smart controls to make sure it works seamlessly with an always ready exhaust for damp air when it’s steamy, and to get really cosy, delivering warm air in winter.
